Jamie Connors: Director of Swimming

Many of you will recognize Jamie, who has been a familiar and friendly face around the Talisman Centre for many years. Jamie began his coaching career in a small club outside of St. Johns, NF in the early 1980's. Since that time he has gradually moved across the country with stops in Dartmouth, Antigonish and Saskatoon. He has twenty-eight years of coaching experience to go along with a Masters degree in the Art & Science of Coaching and a teaching degree in physical education. This is Jamie's eighth season as Head Coach for the Calgary Patriots. Jamie has worked for a number of Calgary clubs over the past fourteen years, while also traveling with the National Team as an exercise physiologist. With his Team Canada duties, he has had stops in Sydney, Hong Kong, Manchester and Japan. In 2006-07 Jamie was named Swimming Canada and Swim Alberta Coach of the Year, for performances by Erica Morningstar at World Champs in Melbourne. Under Jamie's guidance, the Calgary Patriots have solidified their position in Calgary and Alberta as one of the premier age group swim clubs. Jamie is looking forward to bringing his expertise to our Club.

Kevin Coulman: Head Coach  Email the Head Coach

Kevin started coaching in 1999 for the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club. He spent ten years with the Goldfins, moving up through the organization and having a lot of success there. He spent a year in Campbell River as the Head Coach for the Killer Whales and continued to learn a lot in that position. Kevin is currently the Assistant Head Coach for the Calgary Patriots Swim Club.

Kevin is looking forward to bringing his passion and experience to CMSC. He has a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Level 3 Certified Coach. In addition to coaching the Calgary Patriots and CMSC, Kevin will be continuing his coaching education.

Erik Hogan: Coach

Erik has been a welcome sight on deck for CMSC during the month of August. He just completed his third year of coaching with the Patriots. Erik has been active in swimming for over ten years and is focused on converting his racing experience into excellent coaching. He brings plenty of energy and excitement to the pool and is excited to be assisting with coaching CMSC whenever he is needed.

Chad Michie: Coach

Chad has also been on deck for CMSC over the past few weeks. He just completed his first year coaching the Patriots, after serving a number of years as lead coach with the P-Too program and coaching with the Calgary Tritons. He has over ten years experience in swimming as either a coach or a competitive swimmer. He hopes to bring his love of the sport to CMSC.
